	Biography     ZaLonya Allen, PhD is a speaker, author and poet specializing in motivation and leadership development. Dr. Allen demonstrates through her life experiences that leaders come in all shapes and sizes and from all walks of life. Her inspirational story of how she went from growing up in Detroit as a mediocre student with a fear of public speaking, to become a three time college graduate, and an award winning speaker, demonstrates how anyone can achieve their dreams with preparation and determination.   For over ten years Dr. Allen has delivered presentations to audiences everywhere. With a diverse professional background in both academic and corporate environments, Dr. Allen designs results oriented presentations based on extensive research and personal experience. Her presentations combine humor, real life examples and powerful techniques that audiences can apply immediately.   As an educator she has taught at all levels of higher education from community college to graduate school. She spent nearly ten years in the corporate world and has served in numerous leadership positions for a variety of organizations. She is a published writer of both articles and books including, 7 Steps to Developing the Leader in You: A Step by Step Guide to Personal and Professional Success in Leadership. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan, Wayne State University and North Central University. She holds degrees in Industrial Relations, Sociology and two degrees in Psychology.
